Message from the Principal | 4th March 2011

Hello again.

Our parent night was attended by a representative from 109 of our families. 28% of Junior (Years 1-3) learning families were represented, while 42% of our Senior (Years 4-7) learning families attended. Thank you to those people who could attend. Our teaching staff take a great deal of time to prepare for this important evening so that parents can be aware of what is happening in the school and individual classrooms currently and the future directions for both. Feedback from parents who attended indicated that they were made aware of many things that their children were involved in during the school day that their child/children had never spoken with them about.

Installation of air-conditioning

The Minster for Education's announcement regarding the installation of air-conditioning in the new Building the Education Revolution is welcome news for us all. The P&C has identified the purchase and installation of air-conditioners in the new block as one of its priorities. The link below will allow you to read the Minister's statement. http://www.mediastatements.wa.gov.au/Pages/Results.aspx?ItemID=137143

Staff uniforms

The next time you are at school you will see many of our staff in their new uniforms. The clothing looks very smart and I thank Mrs Johnson for her hard work getting consensus on the choice and for liaising with the manufacturer.

Swimming lessons

Swimming lessons commence next Tuesday. Please make sure that your child has returned their note and swimming money and has their bathers and towel with them on Tuesday.

My School Website

The My School Website has now been made available for your perusal. It can be found at the link below. http://www.myschool.edu.au/ Please feel free to discuss any aspect of the information with me should you so desire.

There is no school on Monday as it is a public holiday. Please enjoy a safe break.
